Chilli pods grow on shrubs which has a short life span. The tree generally grows to around 1.5 meters in height and is popularly found in a tropical climate. It is a plant that has a main tap root with many lateral roots.

It’s a fruit that grows from blooming flower and takes the form similar to a ‘bean’. In meals, chilli pods are used in two forms: ‘Green Chilli’ & ‘Red Chilli’. The green chilli is generally the raw fruit whilst when it ripens it turns red in colour.

Chilli is considered a ‘Hot Spice’ and it enriches the taste in meals. It is generally used to ‘spice up’ the taste in meals.

Winlo Chilli Pods

The sourced chilli pods are sorted to remove stones, coir stings, animal fur. Further, chilli pods that seem to have fungus or different in colour too are removed from the process.

The stems of the sorted chilli pods are then cut with the aid of the ‘Stem Removing Machine’. They are then washed to remove dust and any other environment particles. The washed chilli is dried using a spin-dryer and then further dried using an ‘electric dryer’.

In approximately 1-2 Hours, the dried chilli is then free of moisture and crispy. The dried chilli is then packed and made ready for dispatch. The final product is assured of quality and due it being processed hygienically, it’s a healthy product.

Winlo Chilli Powder

The sourced full chilli pods are sorted to remove stones, coir stings, animal fur. Further, chilli pods that seem to have fungus or different in colour are removed from the process.

The well processed chili goes through a grinding process to make it ‘Chili Powder’.
